Accepted Insurance

*Our rate of $110 is based on a 45 minute counseling session*

Services at South Bay Counseling may be covered in full, or in part, by your health insurance provider or employee benefit plan.

Please consult your insurance provider or employee benefit company prior to seeing us. We have listed some essential questions to ask regarding your amount of coverage:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Payment FAQ

Do you offer a Reduced Fee?
We care about your mental and emotional health and don’t want financial stress interfere with making progress in your counseling. Therefore, we offer our services at a reduced fee, but only on a limited basis. When you contact us, please inquire if you may be eligible for a reduced fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash or check paid at the time of your counseling session.

What do I do if I need to cancel my counseling appointment?
We understand that unexpected things come in up in life. Our cancellation policy allows you at least 24 hours to cancel and/or reschedule your counseling appointment. We appreciate your consideration that we may be able to offer that time to another client. However, If you do not show up for your scheduled counseling appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, we require that you pay the full cost of the session.
